Pastor
Dayle Askey
Pastor Dayle was called to Creator in January 1999. Ordained in 1996, her first call was to Advent Lutheran Church in Troutdale. In 1995 she received a M.Div from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. She received a B.A. in Pastoral Ministries from Marylhurst College in 1991. Pastor Dayle is a “second career” pastor. Prior to ordained ministry she served as Director of Christian Education at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gresham.
In 1996 Pastor Dayle married Peter Overvold and together they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Her passions for ministry include preaching and worship. She especially enjoys creating inviting worship environments during the liturgical seasons. At Creator we are blessed to have many children in worship and she loves being creative with children’s sermons.
In her spare time she enjoys all kinds of beading and creating memory books with Photoshop.
Office Administrator
Toni Hartung is the Office Administrator as well as long-time member of Creator Lutheran Church. She enjoys the fellowship and community that her work in the church office provides.
Toni is married to Rick Hartung and they raised four children in the Sunnyside neighborhood.
She enjoys gardening, hiking, biking, reading, quilting and spending time with friends and family.
Music Director
David Lee is the Music Director at Creator. He is an extremely talented and very well known pianist on the Portland music scene, playing professionally in Portland for many years. In addition to sharing his musical talents weekly at Creator, David plays at Portland City Grill and the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver.
Bookkeeper
Custodian
Erik Edberg is the custodian at Creator. He works to keep the facility in good running order.
