Youth and Children

The ministry of the Creator community with children and young adults is centered on education and activities that acknowledge our young people as vital members of our life together.  Sunday education for elementary, middle school and high school students takes place following worship each Sunday during the school year.  Children older than 4 years old are encouraged to particpate in worship and there is a special Children's Time set aside for children of all ages before the sermon.

  • It's great to be a Creator Kid!

  • Scheduled youth activities run throughout the school year and include fellowship, games, music, guest speakers, Bible devotions, and scheduled outings. Monthly fellowship and service activities are another way for youth to come together to build relationships and to have fun.

The High School Youth can particiapte in Cluster, Synod, Regional, and National events that include Portland Plunge, Holden May Youth Weekends, Western States Youth Gatherings, and the National Youth Gathering.

  • Grades 7 and 8 are Creator's middle school youth. These young people take part in the confirmation program. This is a time for Bible adventure, games, and fellowship. Monthly activities are also scheduled for fellowship and relationship building. Cluster events and Synod events are another way youth can be involved, meet new people, and explore their faith with peers.

  • Every summer Creator Lutheran hosts a week long day camp for children. It is a week of fun, singing, crafts and play with lessons and songs revolving around Christ's promise of God's love for all people. The camp is led by counselors from Camp Lutherwood. They are assisted by Creator's Middle and High School students and a dedicated group of parents. The week culminates in a program for parents with songs and skits.

On-line sign up forms are available in the weeks leading up to camp (see below). Watch for the dates in the Creator Calendar and Creator Connection newsletter.
